I choose
to believe the Bible teaching of God, the Holy Spirit. |
God the Holy Spirit has been active during creation, incarnation, and redemption. He makes contacts, convicts, and transforms humans into the image of God. He inspired the writers of the scriptures. He gives spiritual gifts to the church and empowers people to begin to reflect aspects of His character.

1. Previously arrange for students to record their
voices on a tape. They are to say, "Praise the Lord" into the
tape recorder. Read John 10:14-16 and ask the students to identify the
voice of each of their classmates. Is it easy or difficult to identify
other people's voices? Is it easy or difficult to identify God's voice?
How can we be sure to hear God's voice? Discuss the idea that we get to
know God better through reading His Word and letting the Holy Spirit give
us ideas. |
2. Who's Watching: Write each student's name on a slip of paper. Fold and let the students draw a name. Have each student watch the person whose name he chose. They should keep that person within sight at all times but not let the other person know who's watching. The object of the game is to discover who's watching you without letting that person know he has been discovered and without letting your own person out of sight. After three minutes make the discoveries. Read Jeremiah 32:17-19 and discuss God's constant watch-care for you.

Uncle Arthur’s Bedtime Stories. R&H. 1964 God the eternal Spirit was active with the Father and the Son in creation, incarnation, and redemption. He inspired the writer of Scripture. He filled Christ's life with power. He draws and convicts human beings; and those who respond He renews and transforms into the image of God. Sent by the Father and the Son to be always with His children, He extends spiritual gifts to the church, empowers it to bear witness to Christ, and in harmony with the Scriptures leads it into all truth.—Fundamental Beliefs, 5. |
