BIBLICAL VIRTUE GROUP

Because I value God's teaching in the Bible, I choose to believe and follow its teachings.

What To Believe

Creation

The Bible teaches that God created the world in six days, and on the seventh day He rested and made the Sabbath holy. Therefore, I know where I came from and why there is such wonderful design in nature.

I choose to believe the Bible teaching of creation.

Definition

God created the world in six days and on the seventh day He rested thus establishing the Sabbath as a memorial of creation.

Student Life Applications

Knowing from the Bible that the world and the universe came into existence by careful design by God, I will:

Respect all living things, both plant and animal as God’s creation, knowing they are special to Him;
Purpose and value in my life as being part of God’s eternal plan and Creation;
Recognize, in the amazing arrangement of the universe down to the smallest DNA or atom, an ALL-Wise God who made them well;
See the Creation as reason for worship and praise to the All-worthy God;
Not accept ideas that life came through an accidental process of chance over long periods of time without the design of God;
Seek to understand what we observe in nature and earth studies in the light of my belief in the Bible and my faith in God;
Learn about God through His creation;

Bible, E.G. White

2. Make a Creation Chart (flowers, birds, trees, fruits, vegetables, animals, fish, etc.) and list as many different ones as you can name.

3. Make a huge classroom mural of the days of creation.

God is Creator of all things, and has revealed in Scripture the authentic account of His creative activity. In six days the Lord made "the heaven and the earth" and all living things upon the earth, and rested on the seventh-day of that first week. Thus He established the Sabbath as a perpetual memorial ofHis completed creative work. The first man and woman were made in the image of God as the crowing work of Creation, given dominion over the world, and charged with responsibility to care for it. When the world was finished it was "very good" declaring the glory of God.—Fundamental Beliefs, 6.
