BIBLICAL VIRTUE GROUP Because I value God's teaching in the Bible, I choose to believe and follow its teachings. |
|
I choose
to believe the Bible teaching of Salvation. |
Salvation related virtues: Conversion, justification, sanctification. Salvation means: Process of sinner to saint. Led by the Holy Spirit, we sense our needs, admit that we are sinful, are sorry for our mistakes, and have faith that Jesus is the means of our re-adoption into God's family. In accepting salvation a student comes to God, accepts Jesus as His Savior and Special Friend, confesses his sins, decides to do right with God's power and lets God be the center of every part of his life.

Biology: Heredity will perpetuate good and bad traits
but only Jesus can restore us to His image. Health: As air goes into our lungs, carbon dioxide is pushed out; as Jesus comes into our lives, sin is pushed out. |
Physics: A rock is solid and strong. Jesus is our
solid and strong rock of salvation. |
Science: Because of sin, the whole universe is deteriorating,
needs to be restored as does humanity. |
Social Studies: Jesus is the only answer. The whole society of the world has major problems. |

The Children's Hour, by Arthur S. Maxwell,
R&H In infinite love and mercy God made Christ, who knew
no sin, to be sin for us, so that in Him we might be made the righteousness
of God. Led by the Holy Spirit we sense our need, acknowledge our sinfulness,
repent of our transgressions, and exercise faith in Jesus as Lord and
Christ, as Substitute and Example. This faith which receives salvation
comes through the divine power of the Word and is the gift of God's grace.
Through Christ we are justified, adopted as God's sons and daughters,
and delivered from the lordship of sin. Through the Spirit we are born
again and sanctified; the Sprit renews our minds, writes God's law of
love in our hearts, and we are given the power to live a holy life. Abiding
in Him we become partakers of the fine nature and have the assurance of
slavation now and in the judgment.. Fundamental Beliefs, 10 |
