BIBLICAL VIRTUE GROUP

Because I value God's teaching in the Bible, I choose to believe and follow its teachings.

What To Believe

Law of God

I choose to believe the Bible teaching of the Law of God.

Student Life Applications

See how they are ways to make people have a happy life;
See how they can be kept fully only through the power of God;
See how they show us the sinfulness in everyone and our need of a Saviour;
Think about how Jesus kept the law perfectly as Adam our first parent should have kept it;
Think about what commandments I break sometimes and how I can live better by God's power;
Think about how rules are a blessing because they help people work and play together better;
Learn how the 10 commandments were first given and how they were kept in a very special place;
Think about the ark's "Mercy Seat" just above the 10 commandments what that teaches us;
Think about how breaking one commandment leads to breaking them all;

Bible, E.G. White

The Law and the Gospel -- Titus 3:5; Romans 3:20 -- "No deeds of the law, no effort however commendable, and no good works---can in any justify the sinner"

Student Activities

1. Play a game and don't use any rules. Then play the same game with rules. Discuss the difference.
2. Play a game that every one know the rules to and do not mention the rules. If someone breaks a rule and the students complain then stop and call attention to the rule. Compare to the same situation in heaven before man sinned.
3. Talk about the rules for the classroom that are posted. Compare God's need to write on the tables of stone.

The great principles of God's law are embodied in the Ten Commandments and exemplified in the life of Christ. They express God's love, will, and purposes concerning human conduct and relationships and are binding upon all people in every age. These precepts are the basis of God's covenant with His people and the standard in God's judgment. Through the agency of the Holy Spirit they point out sin and awaken a sense of need for a Saviour. Salvation is all of grace and not of works, but its fruitage is obedience to the Commandments. This obedience develops Christian character and results in a sense of well-being. It is an evidence of our love for the Lord and our concern for our fellowmen. The obedience of faith demonstrates the power of Christ to transform lives, and therefore strengthens Christian witness.---Fundamental Beliefs, 18.
