What Is Stewardship? -- Psalm 24:1 --
"The earth is the Lord's and all its fullness, the world and those
who dwell therein" “All things belong to God. Men may ignore His claims.
While He bountifully bestows His blessings upon them, they may use His
gifts for their own selfish gratification; but they will be called to
give an account for their stewardship.” |

1. If someone gave you one million dollars (pesos,
etc.) what would be the tithe? What should you do with it? What would
you do with the rest of the one million? |
2. What things does God want YOU to take care of? What does He want your parents to take care of? |
3. What things should the church and the pastor take care of? |
|
Math: Percentages show parts of a whole, our tithe is a part of God's larger blessings. |
Physics: The atom is a basic unit of matter. Several
together make big things. Each person's Sabbath offering may be individually
small but by putting many together, they can do big things. |

The Children's Hour, by Arthur S. Maxwell,
R&H We are God's stewards, entrusted by Him with time and opportunities, abilities and possessions, and the blessings of the earth and its resources. We are responsible to Him for their proper use. We acknowledge God's ownership by faithful service to Him and our fellowmen, and by returning tithes and giving offerings for the proclamation of His gospel an dthe support and growth of His church. Stewardship is a privilege given to us by God for nurture in love and the victory over selfishness and covetousness. The steward rejoices in the blessings that come to others as a result of his faithfulness.---Fundamental Beliefs, 20 Elementary Secondary |
