BIBLICAL VIRTUE GROUP

Because I value God's teaching in the Bible, I choose to believe and follow its teachings.

What To Believe

Death and Resurrection

The Bible teaches that after a person dies, he knows nothing. When Jesus comes again He will resurrect the saved with new bodies. Therefore, I 'm not afraid of death or dead people because Jesus has the power over death.

I choose to believe the Bible teaching of Death and Resurrection.

Definition

Death and Resurrection related virtues: Sleep and awaking.

Death and Resurrection means: Death is an unconscious state like a very deep sleep. Our thoughts no longer exist. When Jesus comes the second time the righteous will be "awakened" and reunited with His followers who are still alive. Together they will join Jesus in the sky. The resurrection of the unrighteous will take place a thousand years later.

The wages of sin is death. But God, who alone is immortal, will grant eternal life to His redeemed. Until that day death is an unconscious state for all people. When Christ, who is our life, appears, the resurrected righteous and the living righteous will be glorified and caught up to meet their Lord. The second resurrection, the resurrection of the unrighteous, will take place a thousand years later.---Fundamental Beliefs, 25.
