Student Life Applications

Because I know that God is with me, I will face the fearsome challenges of my life by:

Saying I am sorry when I make a mistake.
Speaking up when I know something is not right.
Sticking up for someone when everyone is against him/her.
Holding to my religious beliefs when people make fun of them.
Sharing my faith with people I don't know.
Standing for right even when it is difficult.
Telling the truth even when it is difficult.

Student Activities

1. Our actions affect others, as Esther's did. Have kids line up single file and give out a roll of crepe paper streamers to teams of four. Have the first person in each line wrap the crepe paper twice around one of his wrists. Then have him pass the roll to the next person, who wraps it twice around one of his wrists in the same manner. Have kids continue wrapping the crepe paper around their wrists until everyone is connected. If the team's crepe paper breaks, the team must start again. Discuss what is hard about being connected and how do our actions affect each other.
2. Make a list of the things that make you afraid. Then try to find someone in the Bible who had a similar fear. What did God do for him?
3. Draw the three items that brave Gideon and his little army took to fight the Midianites. Did these win the battle?
4. Charade brave people from the Bible and let others guess who they are.
