RELATIONAL VIRTUE GROUP

Because I value others as those whom Christ created and redeemed, I choose to treat them as I would like to be treated.

How To Treat People

Respect Ownership

God owns everything He has made. He has made me a steward of the things I have. He also asks me to respect what belongs to others.

I choose to care for what is mine and to respect what belongs to others.

Definition

Respect for Ownership means: Care for mine, don't touch yours.

Student Life Applications

Because God has given me responsibility over the things that are mine and I want to take good care of them and I know God has given others the same responsibility over what belongs to them, I therefore will:

Take good care of what belongs to me and treat other things the way I would want others to treat my things;
Never take something that belongs to another person; (stealing)
Try to find the owner of something I find;
Never draw on, scratch, or change to look of furniture, walls, floors or landscaping without direction from the owner;
Think carefully about who owns each thing before doing something to it;
Be careful and never fold, mark or damage a book, even my own textbooks;
Be careful with the papers, projects and school work of others and treat it with care;
Never "borrow" things wihout the permission of the owner;
As a citizen of my country and city, I will take care of it like it belongs to me, and not throw trash or destroy public property;
Remember that everything belongs to someone;
Guard private things that belong to others, such as personal pictures, personal logs or diaries, secrets and not take, read or share what doesn't belong to me;
Be careful with others clothes, keeping them clean and nice;
