RELATIONAL VIRTUE GROUP

Because I value others as those whom Christ created and redeemed, I choose to treat them as I would like to be treated.

How To Treat People

Leadership

Jesus led people by serving them. Service is the best reason for being a leader. Jesus' life was an example of true service. He asks people to follow His example.

I choose to lead like Jesus by being a good example and serving others.

Definition

Leadership means: Good examples having a visionary commitment, skilled in motivating others, demonstrating faith based optimism, exercising solid integrity, managing resources responsibility, communicating effectively.

Student Life Applications

Because God needs people who can lead and direct others in the ways of God, I will:

Respect people God has placed in the government, church, school or family in positions of leadership and support them in their good work.
Seek opportunity to learn leadership skills that will equip me to serve God better.
Be careful to use my influence and talents to lead others in a good direction to do good things.
Respect the ideas of others and not try to push my way every time.
Use my leadership skills to serve people rather than get something from them or force my ways.
Learn from watching others about what kind of leadership is best and then try and be that kind of leader.
Look for ways to help the leaders in your Sabbath School, Pathfinders, or school sports or activities.

Bible, E.G. White

Psalm 23:2, 3 He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness.
