How To Use My Time Wisely

Time Management

Time is a precious gift from God. He gives us many opportunities and talents that can occupy our time. We should plan carefully to use our time in the best way.

I choose to use my time wisely.

Definition

Time Management means: Planning what I need to do and arranging my time to see that I get it done on time;
Work when I should work, play when I should play, study when I should study, pray when I should pray;
Consider how much time it should take me to get something done and then set about to do it.
Setting priorities so I do the most important things first and leave other things for later.
Polishing my shoes, taking my bath, checking to see that my Sabbath clothes are pressed, cleaning my room, making sure the Food is ready for Sabbath so that when it comes everything will be ready;
Planning to get my assignments done before they are due;
Learning my memory verse/ power point before Sabbath.
Avoid wasting time playing video games or watching TV when I should be doing other things;

Student Life Applications

Because I am a child of God, I will:

Spend my time in ways that will please Him.
Take every chance I can to be productive.
Avoid wasting time by planning my day to include time for physical, mental, and spiritual things.
Avoid spending too much time on some things while neglecting others.
Plan time to do my school work and not be distracted by games or TV.
Plan my time so that every day I will have personal time with Jesus to pray and read the Bible.
Do the right things at the right time.
Have foresight so I won’t run out of time when I need to get my jobs done.
Pace myself so that I will use the right amount of time on each activity.
Watch the time so that I know when it is time to do different things.
Plan to have things to do when I know I will have time in the car or waiting.
