TEMPORAL VIRTUE GROUP Because I value the time Christ has given me, I choose to use my time wisely. |
|
I choose to use my time in recreation that renews my body, mind, and spirit.
|
Good Recreation means: Doing pleasant things as a break from work and responsibilities that renews my body and spirit. Playing games with friends, doing a favorite hobby, reading a good book or magazine, activities that build up my body with joy taking care not to let the activitiy become more important than the benefit by trying to win at the cost of friendship, safety or health or other negative factors. Doing things that are different as a change from what you have been doing as part of your school, work or home responsibilities as a rest and renewing time.

O Master, let me walk, SDAH, 574 |
Because God knows that I need a break from work and study to be recreated, I will: Take some time for joyful fun that gives me a physical, mental, and social experience. |
Avoid games that will make me unhappy with other players. |
Avoid games that are rough and may cause people to get hurt. |
Choose activities that don't emphasize winner and heroes but each person doing their best. |
Find recreation that gives me good exercise and makes me feel happy. |
Play games that don't make some people feel bad because they can't play it good. |
Praise good sportsmanship and good plays for everyone, even those who are on the other side. |
Ecclesiastes 3:1 There is time for everything. "Children's best recreation is amid surroundings of nature."
Ed 211-212
