HEALTH VIRTUE GROUP

Because I value my body as Christ's temple, I choose to achieve and maintain optimum physical, mental, and spiritual health.

“The earnest teacher will improve every opportunity to show the necessity of perfect cleanliness both in personal habits and in all one's surroundings. The value of the daily bath in promoting health and in stimulating mental action, should be emphasized. ED 200
“But when we lose taste for order and neatness in dress we virtually leave the truth,” 1T 276
“You should cultivate a love for neatness and strict cleanliness. God is a God of order. . . . For we should seek not to disgust unbelievers by carelessness and slackness in our apparel, but should dress modestly, with reference to health and neatness, that our dress may commend itself to the judgment of candid minds.” 2T 66
“Pure air and water, cleanliness, a proper diet, purity of life, and a firm trust in God are remedies for the want of which thousands are dying; yet these remedies are going out of date because their skillful use requires work that the people do not appreciate. Fresh air, exercise, pure water, and clean, sweet premises are within the reach of all with but little expense,” 5T 443
