Excellence

God always does things the best way. All creation shows His quality work.

I choose what is best.

Definition

Excellence related virtues: Accuracy, efficiency , merit, virtue, fineness, perfection, distinction, quality, preciseness, exactness, correctness, rightness, effectiveness, productivity, continuous improvement, competence.

Excellence means: To do your best and keep on improving.

Chemistry: As accuracy is imperative in titration so also it is in the study of God’s Word.
Health: Just as the uterus can stretch to full capacity so we should stretch our capabilities to full capacity.
Math: God’s creation is accurate and excellent, we must strive for accuracy and excellence in our work.
Music: Sight-reading must be accurate for beautiful music so also must Scripture reading.
Science: Accuracy is required in lab experiments; also in scientific notation

Primary:
Tell or write two ways that show that God is excellent
Tell or write about a time when you saw someone show excellence.
Tell or write about when you showed excellence like God would do.
How do you feel when you are excellent?
Tell two ways you that you can show excellence.
What makes you want to be excellent?
What is the opposite of excellence? Who makes us act that way?

Middle:
What difference does it make whether I have excellence or not?
How would people treat me differently if I did or didn’t choose to be excellent?
What makes choosing to be excellent better than the opposite?
List some ways that a person might be excellent without anyone noticing?
List 3 situations where a person could be excellent in his work, home, or at the shopping mall.
Can you think of someone who seems good at being excellent? What makes them better at it?
How could you learn to be better at bing excellent?
How often do you show excellence? Think of the last three times and tell me.
Do you like to join in when people are being excellent? How have you joined in?

High school:
Would you practice excellence if no one was checking on you? Your parents, school, or the law?
What is the alternative to excellence and what do you see as the results of that choice?
Would you recognize it if someone was not fully excellent? How?
Would you keep quiet if someone paid you a lot of money not to be excellent?
Are you proud to be excellent and willing to tell others how you feel?
If someone in a group spoke out against excellence would you speak up to give the other side?
Are you willing to put some of your money toward supporting excellence in your city, class, work?
Can you say that being excellent has become a habit? How often are you that way?
What effect do you think excellence will have on your future life?
Do you see your family practicing excellence? How about your church, city, or nation?
What do you think should be done to promote excellence in your family, friends, church, city, nation?
Does it make much difference if they are excellent or not?
